Spay & Neuter
Assistance
The “Voucher”
Program
Below
is a list of rescue organizations that participate in the “voucher program” with local
veterinarians. This program helps
to defer the cost for spaying & neutering domestic dogs & cats as well
as ferals.
How It
Works:
As
funds permit, each organization will pledge anywhere from $5-$15 per animal that
is to be spayed or neutered. The
voucher is sent directly to the veterinarian that will be performing the
surgery.
What
You Need To Do:
1.
Call
your local veterinarian to verify that they accept “vouchers” or pledges as they
are otherwise known. Ask your
veterinarian which vouchers they accept.
(Not all veterinarians accept all vouchers)
2.
Once
you have located a vet, set up an appointment for your pets spay or neuter
surgery.
3.
Call each rescue organization listed to see if they have funds available
to
help.
They will need to know your animals breed, age, sex, color, when the
spay/neuter appointment is scheduled for and
which veterinarian you will be using.
*If you
are having trouble locating a vet that participates in the program call the rescues for a possible
recommendation.
Note: Not all organizations will have funds
available at all times so we suggest calling them all to receive as much
financial assistance as possible.
